Wessex Marine mirrors all our Scandinavian boat suppliers in operating as a highly pro-active, family run business. Just like our builders, when you contact us by phone, fax or email you will likely speak to one of the Wessex "family". This structure offers brilliant in-depth knowledge and highest attention to detail inherent in all the boats offered and the service provided. We have no job titles or descriptions because everyone does everything as required.

David Adams

Thirty five years experience of Scandinavian craft qualifies David as a Nordic boat historian as well as a specialist on all craft of Nordic origin. He is the owner of the business. Hands-on motorboating since the age of 6 and younger years powerboat racing gives a thorough grounding for current Wessex Marine operations. It is his job to know every inch of every boat supplied. He is also the chief Targa test pilot!

Amanda Adams

Twenty five years in the boat business, mostly with David, Amanda is the other half of the husband and wife team running Wessex Marine. She is in charge of advertising, boat shows, promotion and foreign currency transactions.

Guy Adams

Most recent member of the team, David's son injects much-needed new technology into our IT department, website and all promotion & presentation matters, and he's also a mean boat valeter when required. The only non grey-haired member of the team!

Caroline Fowler

David's sister is chief in charge of tidying up after us all and the burden of assorted administration falls on her shoulders. You name it, she does it as office Girl Friday and she knows plenty about the boats too!

Rob Vincent

An "adopted" member of the Adams family and long-term member of the sales team sharing many roles including admin, boat preparation and commissioning etc. He's also head of the co-called "bunker squad" ordering all our spare parts and components.

Mick Gooby

Mick is another adoption as our long serving "outdoor" specialist. Mick carries out most of the preparation and commissioning for handover for all new and pre-owned boats as well as sharing his outside jobs with added sales support any time it's needed.

Bernard Hiscock

Our esteemed shipwright who has worked his whole life on boats. He knows everything about wood. He tried to retire some years ago but we wouldn't let him!
